2. If you are on travel and you need to turn on your laptop, be sure that your brightness is set to the lowest. The brighter you notebook monitor the fast it will drain your battery charge.
3. Check you power management system. Your processors and hardisk should be configured to the slowest performance or power conservation if you are running battery. The faster you computer is, the faster it will consume power and drain your battery charge
4. Lower down your volume control or mute it if necessary.
5. Remove any unused USB device. Every USB devices including the thumb drive drain your battery charge even it is on sleep or hibernate.
6. Stop or remove any unnecessary program that is running automatically every time your computer starts. You will not only conserve your battery charge but improve your laptop’s start up time.
